St. Louis Fashion Week: Emerging Designer Competition

Six designers will compete for a $15,000 cash prize and a number of perks during The St. Louis Fashion Fund Emerging Designer Competition presented during St. Louis Fashion Week.The festivities start at 6 p.m. tonight at Union Station, 1820 Market Street.The $15,000 cash prize has attracted a fiercer level of competition than ever before. Last year's first place winner was awarded only $2,500. The six finalists are Collina Strada by Hillary Taymour of Brooklyn; Daniella Kallmeyer of New York City; Harbison by Charles Harbison of Brooklyn; Jessie Liu of San Francisco; Remi Canarie by Lisa Panza and Liz Patelski of Chicago and Wai Ming by Emily Koplar of St. Louis.The event will also feature a still modeling presentation of five local “Designers to Watch”. Attendees will vote on which one will win a $2,500 people’s choice cash prize from St. Louis Fashion Week.
